Sesame Tilapia, Rice Pilaf, & Sauteed Green Beans

Tonight’s meal was a do-over, so I’m recording it here:

Filets of tilapia marinated for a few hours in a mixture of sesame oil, lemon juice, garlic, Italian seasonings, and salt & pepper. I put them in a single layer in the bottom of a baking dish and covered them with onion rings. It baked for about 15 minutes at 400. It would have been better under the hands of a master griller…

Green beans were steamed a couple minutes and then sauteed on high heat with olive oil and fresh sliced garlic till the beans were tender and the garlic was brown and crispy.

Rice pilaf was left over from a meal Becky made, so I’m not sure what the procedure was there.

Baby bathed and in bed, house clean and vacuumed, dishes done, work outs enjoyed, and we are watching Voyage of the Dawn Treader and enjoying drinks. My new favorite: rum with Simply Raspberry Lemonade.

  1. Saute onions in olive oil over medium heat until tender, add rice and saute, stirring constantly, until opaque. Add some chardonnay and increase heat to high until it evaporates. Add salt and water, bring to a boil, turn heat to low, cover, and cook till done.
