We Like Cheese

Tonight’s dinner was a celebration of Mike’s recital, Josh Samford’s job interview, and a continuing effort to use up perishable food:

Spring mix and sliced strawberries with slices of broiled chicken breast dressed with orange marmalade, balsamic vinegar, ginger, salt & pepper, and oil.

Stone-ground wheat crackers
Plum syrup from yesterday’s breakfast made with fresh plums that were a little old, water, brown sugar, and cinnamon
Hot pepper jelly

Four cheeses from the Northfield Co-op compliments of Rachel Foster, through a very old gift card:
A local sharp cheddar
A very nice muenster
An amazing stilton with ginger & mango
A fine brie with peppercorn crusted rind

That was a fun meal. 🙂
